AFT has created 400 jobs in Kenya. These jobs offer consistent pay that is at least 30% over market rate, providing a form of stable work that would not exist without the scale of this company.

In a region where informal work and seasonal labor have been the only options, the impact of AFT's flagship farm has been felt across communities and sectors.  

Smallholder farmers produce 70% of East Africa's avocados, but suffer from unpredictable productivity and lack of access to export markets, making them dependent on predatory brokers.

Smallholder farmers directly benefit from AFT's inputs, expertise, and market access by becoming part of our farm network. AFT aggregates supply from our 250+ 'Network Farms' and delivers their produce directly to the global market, providing farmers enhanced margins and greater payment certainty.

Our team includes local expertise and trained agronomists who inform our production methods. From nursing and planting seedlings in long-term agroforestry systems, responsible water use, and sustainable soil management, AFT ensures our flagship and network farms follow sustainable standards that protect the resources we collectively rely on.

 By working with both local communities and institutional allies, we geopolitically de-risk our presence in prime growing regions with largely untapped global distribution potential. AFT's efforts in job creation, facilitating market access for smallholder network farms, and developing collective sustainable standards ensures constituent buy-in and long-term economic growth.
